The panel interview was with the unit manager and two nurses from the floor, and they were upfront about staffing ratios and the realities of the unit, which I appreciated. Offer came five days after the panel with a clear breakdown of base, differentials, and sign-on. The only friction was the online application portal itself, which made me retype my entire resume. Total time from application to signed offer: about four weeks.

“A one-line rejection email costs nothing.”

The phone screen went well — or so I thought. The recruiter said I would hear back "within a week either way." I followed up twice by email over the next six weeks and never got a response, not even a form rejection. The posting was taken down and reposted a month later, which stung. I understand high-volume roles get a lot of applicants, but a one-line rejection email costs nothing. The screen itself was fine and the recruiter was friendly, which honestly made the silence more confusing.
